Your Green Tour

We start the first day with a Welcome Drink and a nice dinner at an eco hotel in Alcobaça.

After breakfast, we continue our trip to Rio Maior and there we will make a visit to the “Marinhas de Sal” salt pans. Surrounded by trees and cultivated land, these salt pans are considered a true wonder of nature since they are 30 km from the sea, constituting a valuable and unusual natural and cultural heritage. After lunch in a typical local restaurant, we return to Alcobaça, where we can do a Birdwatching activity and a ride on the bikes provided by the eco-hotel. To finish the day in beauty, nothing better than dinner in one of the best restaurants in town.

We start the day with a tour of the historical centre and a visit to the Monastery of Alcobaça, one of the first Cistercian monastic foundations in Portuguese territory. To sweeten our palates, we will have a conventual candy tasting. The friars and nuns of this region have created truly divine sweets. It is time to explore the historical centre of the village before returning.
