After your check-in at the eco-hotel enjoy a welcome drink where you can taste some typical sweets of the city accompanied with a glass of Port Wine. Dinner will be in a nice and typical “tripeiro” restaurant, where you can try the best delicacies of the city. The night ends with an eco-social stroll through the historic centre of Porto, through the streets and alleys of the city.

After breakfast it’s time for a guided tour to one of the few farms in urban space that practices Organic Farming throughout Western Europe: The Aromatic Corner. The guide will give a perspective of the entire production process from seed to final product and will allow a sensory experience, activated by the herbs grown at the time. The aromas, colors, textures, sounds and flavor will be a constant presence along the entire route and the visitor will be able to touch, smell and even taste the herbs.  For a light lunch the herbs from the Cantinho das Aromáticas will be used, were this not a Vegetarian friendly tour. In the afternoon, you can visit the work of excellence of the famous architect of Porto, the Italian Nicolau Nasoni. Climb the Tower and enjoy the panoramic view of the city, or visit one of the most beautiful and historical bookstores in the world, which inspired J. K. Rowling to write the saga of Harry Potter. The day will end in beauty with a view of the Douro and a dinner at the Port Wine Cellars where you can taste the good wines of the region.

Visiting Serralves is something you will never forget, and this experience includes the Museum of Contemporary Art, Casa de Serralves, Casa de Cinema Manoel de Oliveira, Treetop Walk and the Park! In the afternoon there will still be time to discover the city’s tiles, a unique heritage developed over centuries. We will meet some examples of the valuable and comprehensive collection of tiles from the sixteenth, seventeenth and eighteenth centuries, coming from old monasteries and convents of the city and we will find tiles on the facade of private buildings, cafes and other commercial establishments of the early twentieth century. At the end of the day, we will return home with the will to return already tomorrow.
