Sustainability
São Félix Hotel Hillside & Nature recognizes that the ecological impact caused by its activities must be minimized, and has adopted several environmental measures for this purpose. An example of this is the use of a chiller for water heating, the replacement of cold equipment by more efficient ones or the replacement of conventional lamps by low consumption ones.
Regarding water saving, this hotel has installed flow reducers and makes efforts to make not only the staff but also its guests aware of the need to reduce consumption of a good that should be estimated. With these measures, São Félix Hotel Hillside & Nature has achieved a 12% reduction.
When it comes to waste, the hotel is concerned about sorting and has already achieved a 25% increase in the capacity to separate waste, which often goes into the same container.
All these good practices contribute to the hotel being awarded a Green Key prize.

How to get there
Train – Coming from Lisbon you can catch the Alfa Pendular or the Intercidades to Oporto. At Campanhã station there are Metro connections that take you to the city of Póvoa do Varzim. From there we suggest you take a taxi to São Félix Hotel Hillside & Nature.
Car – Coming from the South (Lisbon) you should take the A1 towards Porto in the direction of Ponte da Arrábida. After passing the bridge take the exit to Viana do Castelo (A28/IC1). Once on the A28 take exit 17 to Laúndos. Take the Nacional 205 towards Laúndos and Mount São Félix.
Plane – For those landing at Oporto International Airport, the hotel is only 30 minutes away by car. But don’t forget to offset your CO2 emissions!
